Sending my garden to you
This was a print-focused project, that had to be sent to someone in the post. My starting point was the receiver. I wanted to send something to my great nan as she lives quite far away from me. She has the most amazing garden and this inspired this project to be as natural and tactile as I could make it. I did my research and came up with a way to smash flowers down onto paper leaving a beautiful abstract print. Using no additional ink or paint, everything was natural, you could even smell the gorgeous scent the flowers imprinted in the paper. There was a focus on the folding, allowing ‘my garden’ to be explored and opened up at the pace of the receiver.
